Family Recovery Journey
This is a free program for families affected by schizophrenia and other psychotic spectrum disorders. It runs on weekends from 10 to 3 Saturday and Sunday, July 12/13th. You’ll connect with other family members and friends, learn more about the illness, how to support your loved one, and how to handle crisis situations. The program is offered both online and in person at the Mental Health and Addictions Center, St. John’s area.

Motivation Monday In-Patient Peer Support Groups
This program is offered to patients in the hospital’s acute care units. Each Monday, peer support groups are held on the unit, and all patients are welcome to join. These sessions focus on setting personal goals and thinking about life after discharge. Everyone will receive helpful resources to support their recovery.

Groups are led by facilitators who have lived experience with mental health—either personally or through supporting a loved one. If you have any questions about when the sessions take place, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Pottle Centre Peer Support Group
This is a weekly group at the Pottle Center, led by peer supporters from the Schizophrenia Society. The group is open to all Pottle Center members. Please contact us with any questions.
MyMeds
We offer easy-to-understand information sheets about common psychiatric medicines. These sheets cover important facts about symptoms and how to use the medicine properly. Please contact us if you would like a handout for a specific medication.
